Aldridge-based Maloney Metalcraft (formerly Exterran UK), has secured two new contracts worth over £3 million with Porvair Filtration Group. The business was acquired by Avingtrans plc in July and, alongside Cambridgeshire-based Metalcraft, now forms Avingtrans™ energy and medical division.
The first contract, worth £1 million, will see Maloney Metalcraft manufacturing and supplying filter housing assemblies that are part of the Porvair Filtration Group range of Pulse Jet Filters for use in a wide range of applications. The second, worth over £2 million, will see the company providing materials, fabrication and testing services for Pulse Jet Filter Pipe Clusters, as well as Pulse Jet Filter external pipe spools in four different designs.
Peter Kenny, managing director of Avingtrans™ energy and medical division, said: These contracts are good news for the business and demonstrate the confidence Maloney Metalcraft’s customers have in our ability to deliver complex components to exacting industry requirements. With over 250 years combined experience in the oil and gas industry, the design and process engineering team at Maloney Metalcraft has a strong track record in the industry.
Combine this with the wider division’s expertise working with traditionally difficult-to-weld alloys, and these contracts demonstrate the strength of our offer. Avingtrans™ energy and medical division is a major provider of precision engineered components to the oil & gas, nuclear, power generation, medical, water and environmental industries. It provides a genuine one-stop shop for customers, offering system design, manufacture, installation, service and maintenance services. Its businesses – Metalcraft and Maloney Metalcraft – will exhibit at Offshore Europe for the first time as a joint force this year (Stand 1AA71).
